How Squadify Works
A clear, scalable approach to developing high-performing teams
Squadify is a team assessment and development platform that enables organisations to improve performance by strengthening how teams work together — consistently and at scale.
It works by:
- Capturing confidential data from team members about how their team functions
- Turning that data into clear, actionable insight
- Supporting teams to take focused action
- Repeating the cycle to drive continuous improvement over time
At enterprise level, this creates a shared language of teamwork, comparable insight across teams and functions, and evidence of progress without compromising trust or psychological safety.
Squadify is designed to integrate into existing leadership, culture, and development initiatives — not replace them.
The Squadify model: what we measure and why
Squadify is built on a research-based model of team performance that distils decades of research into a practical, usable framework.
At its core is the 3Cs model of team performance:
- Clarity — shared purpose, goals, priorities, roles, and interdependencies
- Climate — both operational ways of working and quality of relationships
- Competence — knowledge, skills and collaborative behaviours
These dimensions are measured through a set of factors that have been shown to be statistically relevant to team performance across industries and contexts.
Teams are asked to reflect on what matters most for their performance as a team and what is currently present. This dual perspective helps teams identify both strengths and the areas where change will have the greatest impact.
The research and science behind Squadify→How data is captured
Team data is captured through a short survey completed by all team members and the team leader.
Key principles:
- Individual responses are never shown
- Results are aggregated at team level only
- Free-text comments are optional and guided to be respectful and constructive
Participants complete the survey via a secure, individual link and do not need platform access to respond.
These design choices are intentional. Squadify is built to encourage honest, constructive input — which is only possible when people trust how their data will be used.
The 90-day improvement cycle
Squadify works through a simple, repeatable cycle at team level:
Data
A defined team (typically 3–16 people with shared goals and interdependence) completes a Squadify survey.
Dialog
Once the survey closes, a team-level report is generated. The team uses these insights to have a meaningful conversation about their strengths and challenges. The report includes visual summaries, AI-supported narrative insights, and suggested focus areas.
Action
Team leaders and teams review the insights (often with a coach) and agree on one or two actions that will have the greatest impact.
Repeat
Teams reassess approximately every 90 days, enabling continuous improvement, trend analysis over time, and learning that compounds rather than resets.
This cadence balances momentum with capacity, making improvement sustainable rather than episodic.
Platform structure at enterprise scale
The Squadify platform is structured to support enterprise deployment through a hierarchical workspace model. This enables organisations to:
- Group teams by function, geography, programme, or leadership level
- Control access and visibility appropriately
- Assign administrators and coaches to relevant areas
- Generate aggregated insight without exposing team-level data
Different roles within the platform support this structure, including organisation administrators, workspace administrators, coaches, and team leaders. Training for platform roles is delivered via on-demand learning and in-person group webinars, enabling scalable rollout without heavy central coordination.
Trust, data protection and ethical use
Squadify has been designed specifically for use as a development tool. Key principles:
- Squadify should never be used for disciplinary or performance-management purposes
- Individual responses are never visible
- Organisational reporting requires a minimum number of teams to preserve confidentiality
- AI insights are generated using anonymised, aggregated data only
- No client data is used to train AI models
When teams believe their data will be used to judge them, honesty drops and results become unreliable. Squadify's design protects against this and preserves the integrity of the data.
